Century was responsible for the mechanical and electrical tenant fit-out design of approximately 150,000 square feet of space for Catholic Relief Services in Downtown Baltimore. The fit-out took place in the newly renovated shell of the historic Stewart's Building that used to serve as a major department store. Work was required on Floors 3 through 8 of the 9-story building as well as in the basement and the mezzanine level. The fitout achieved LEED® Gold Certification, to be consistent with the LEED-CS® Certification for the shell renovation. The spaces were fit out for a combination of approximately 400 private and open area offices, conference and training rooms, operations center, assembly room, library, board room, catering kitchen and dining rooms, chapel, storage and utility rooms.
