Electric/Gas Utility Designers - Qualified candidates should have experience in the design and layout of electric, communication or natural gas utilities. Microstation experience a plus. Entry level candidates may be considered.

Electric/Gas Utility Designers - Qualified candidates should have a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and AutoCAD or Microstation experience. Prior experience with electric, communication or natural gas utilities a plus. Position will require engineering, designing, and managing utility infrastructure projects. Entry level candidates may be considered.

Landscape Inspector - Full time position available in the Baltimore area with a strong background in the nursery/landscape industry. Must have strong plant identification/care skills, maintenance, pest/disease identification and knowledge of pesticide use. Duties include plant installation and maintenance activities in accordance with contract requirements. Associates degree in Horticulture a plus but not required. Must have valid driver's license with reliable transportation. Good computer/communication skills and the ability to secure required certifications.

Electrical CAD Drafter/Designer - The qualified candidate should have a minimum of 2 years applicable experience in the layout, design, and circuiting of lighting, power distribution, and alarm systems from new and renovation building projects utilizing AutoCAD. Additional experience with MicroStation a plus.

Century Engineering, Inc., a Maryland-based ENR500 engineering firm has an immediate opening for a Senior Mechanical Engineer. This candidate should possess a BSME degree with at least 10 years applicable experience in the design and renovation of commercial and industrial building facilities in a consulting engineering firm. Professional registration required. Prior staff management experience and the ability to obtain Top Secret security a plus. Experience must include building, plumbing and HVAC design and the use of PC based computer systems.

Senior Mechanical CAD HVAC or Plumbing Designers - The qualified candidate should have a minimum of 7 years applicable experience in the layout and design of plumbing and HVAC systems for new and renovating building projects utilizing AutoCAD. Additional experience with MicroStation a plus.

Senior Electrical Engineer - This candidate should possess a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, and a minimum of 10 years applicable experience, or 15 or more years of prior applicable commercial and institutional building facilities experience in a consulting engineering firm. Professional engineering registration or prior security work and the ability to obtain Top Secret security clearance a plus. Experience should include building power distribution, fire alarm, and lighting systems design for both new and renovation projects, use of PC computer systems, and basic skills with AutoCAD or Microstation.

Commissioning Agents - Qualified candidate should have a mechanical background with good troubleshooting skills and a comprehensive understanding of automatic control systems for buildings. Prior commissioning experience a plus, but not necessary. These positions are for the New Cumberland/Harrisburg office only.

Immediate opportunity for a Geotechnical Project Engineer having a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with a geotechnical emphasis from an accredited four-year engineering program. The candidate must have 3 to 10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering and construction related services. The successful candidate must be an EIT or PE, and be computer literate with experience in the use of geotechnical engineering design software packages and Microsoft Office. Good verbal and written communication skills are a must. Nuclear density gauge certification is a plus. Responsibilities for this position include both field and office engineering activities. The selected candidate will perform construction monitoring, planning and executing subsurface investigations, preparing test boring logs, geotechnical analysis and design, and preparation of geotechnical reports. The selected candidate will work with other engineering personnel on various civil engineering projects, typically from design through the construction phase. Future growth and potential responsibilities includes project management and client / business development.

Century has a challenging position available for a Senior Environmental Engineer/Manager in Towson or Dover offices. Bachelor’s degree required and Master’s preferred with 15 to 20 years of recent relevant professional experience in water and sanitary sewers systems, pumping stations, water and wastewater treatment plant and construction oversight. Professional work may entail planning, feasibility studies, modeling, design, permitting , project management and construction monitoring. Must be a self starter and a pro active project manager. P.E. registration necessary.
